5 November, a new edition of the Breastfeeding Conference
The event is being jointly organised by Parc Sanitari Sant Joan de Déu, Sant Boi Town Council, the Catalan Health Institute, the Breast Milk Bank and the Areola group, with the support of Campus Docent Sant Joan de Déu
This year it will be held at the Parc Sanitari and will include a talk on weaning, by International Board Certified Lactation Consultant Alba Padró, and a child massage workshop
On 5 November the Dr. Antoni Pujadas Auditorium and the Campus Docent will host the 2025 Breastfeeding Conference, with the aim of reaching all families in the Baix Llobregat area with breastfeeding babies.
The event is being jointly organised by Parc Sanitari Sant Joan de Déu, Sant Boi Town Council, the Catalan Health Institute, the Breast Milk Bank and the Areola group, with the support of Campus Docent Sant Joan de Déu. The event, which is changing its venue this year to the Parc Sanitari Sant Joan de Déu facilities, will feature two activities:
- 4 p.m. Child massage workshop (at Campus Docent Sant Joan de Déu), with Rebeca Heras, a nurse specialising in breastfeeding at the SJD Sant Boi Hospital, and Mònica Isidro, midwife at the Sexual and Reproductive Health Care Service (ASSIR) in the Baix Llobregat Centre. Limited to 40 families (two adults per child) with prior registration through the following link.
- 5.30 p.m. Presentation 'Weaning: what it is and keys to achieving it' (Dr Antoni Pujadas Auditorium), with Alba Padró, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant and founder of LactApp, a pioneering femtech application that provides personalised support to breastfeeding mothers. Attendance is free, limited only by the capacity of the venue.
