The project Vegetable gardens urban communitys continues to grow as one space in what people big, users from the network from health mentally and young people they relate and break stigmas

People in the Community Rehabilitation Service (SRC) at Parc Sanitari SJD Ciutat Vella i Numancia build networks with local residents, sharing urban vegetable gardens and cooking workshops that are part of the Urban Community Vegetable Gardens: From Vegetable Garden to Table project.

The Trueta and Turull vegetable gardens in Ciutat Vella and Vallcarca in Barcelona have become a community meeting point where people with severe mental disorders actively take part in planting, tending and harvesting vegetables. This shared activity helps to forge ties with high school students, users of the senior citizens' centre and other local residents who are also involved in the project.

The From Vegetable Garden to Table project encourages social interaction and sharing experiences between various groups, fostering social cohesion and helping to counter the stigma associated with mental health. Working together in the vegetable gardens helps to build relationships based on mutual understanding and cooperation.

In partnership with Barcelona City Council, the initiative promotes active citizenship and has a positive impact on the participants' eating habits as they can take home the harvest gained from their hard work in the vegetable garden.

In addition to farm work, Parc Sanitari Sant Joan de Déu users can also attend workshops on vegetable garden care and management, training activities and cooking and healthy eating classes.
