Parc Sanitari joins Council of Associations and Volunteering of Catalonia
The Ministry of Social Rights and Inclusion has chosen Parc Sanitari to be one of the new members of the organisation
The Catalan Government has revamped the Council of Associations and Volunteering with the addition of fifteen new organisations as members of the body representing a range of fields. Parc Sanitari will be there as a representative of the healthcare sector.
This revamp coincides with the drafting of the 4th Plan for Associations and Volunteering in Catalonia (2026-2029) which drives a wide-ranging participatory process. Future challenges, emerging needs and strategic priorities for the new Plan have been identified so far.
The revamped CAVC will play a decisive role in the final version of the document, its implementation and following up on the Plan's targets.
The Council of Associations and Volunteering
The Council of Associations and Volunteering of Catalonia (CAVC) is the Catalan Government's consultative and advisory body in this area. It is chaired by the Minister of Social Rights and Inclusion and led by the Directorate General for Community Action and Social Innovation. It also includes input from municipal organisations, trade unions, the Ministry of Justice and Democratic Quality, the National Youth Council of Catalonia, the Catalan Federation of Social Volunteering, the National Council of Women of Catalonia and the Catalan Foundation Coordination Committee.
Its roles include producing reports, opinions and studies on public policies relating to associations and volunteering; putting forward projects of strategic interest to the sector; monitoring the National Plan for Associations and Volunteering; and supporting organisations in enhancing their internal management and coordinating them with public authorities.
