The number of beneficiaries of individual aid offered by the Parc Sanitari increases fourfold
Through the Actua programme, solidarity cards are given to beneficiaries to cover basic food and hygiene needs. Clothing, school supplies, glasses and hearing aids are also available thanks to the Brots programme.
In 2024, around 350 people benefited thanks to the support of the Ministry of Social Rights and Inclusion, while the previous year there were just over 80.
The individual support programmes for users of the Parc Sanitari Sant Joan de Déu Mental Health Network have been consolidated in 2024. With the support of the Government of Catalonia's Ministry of Social Rights and Inclusion, it has been possible to attend directly to almost 350 people, four times more than the number benefiting in 2023.
As part of the Actua programme, a total of 200 family units in a situation of vulnerability have received financial assistance for 1,178 items. These are electronic cards that can be used to cover their basic food and hygiene needs. In 2023, only about 40 families were helped, all of them from the Barcelona area. The programme has been extended to other parts of the region and people in the Baix Llobregat, Penitentiary Services, Vallès Occidental and Barcelonès Mental Health Network can now benefit.
Around 140 people have also been able to benefit directly from the material assistance provided by the Brots programme. This support is intended for users of the Mental Health Care Network who have an individual work plan for their social inclusion. They are offered school supplies, clothes, glasses and hearing aids, for example. In 2023, just over 40 people were able to benefit from the scheme.
