Parc Sanitari Sant Joan de Déu psychiatrist Judith Usall, new president of the International Association for Women's Mental Health

With effect from the 10th World Congress on Women's Mental Health, which will take place in India, from 5 to 8 March

Also participating in the congress are doctors Susana Ochoa, Júlia Rolduà and Regina Vila, all researchers from the Parc Sanitari Sant Joan de Déu

Dr Judith Usall Rodié, Parc Sanitari Sant Joan de Déu psychiatrist and coordinator of the Etiopathogenesis and Treatment of Severe Mental Disorders (MERITT) research group, will be named president of the International Association for Women's Mental Health (IAWMH), coinciding with the 10th World Congress on Women's Mental Health, which will take place in India from 5 to 8 March.

Organised by the International Association for Women's Mental Health (IAWMH), the congress aims to improve the mental health of women around the world. This edition will discuss, debate and examine in depth all factors that affect women's mental health, bringing together mental health professionals, neuroscientists and social scientists from around the world. The event will include keynote lectures and sessions with world-renowned speakers that will provide a forum for discussion and audience participation.

Extensive participation by professionals from the Parc Sanitari Sant Joan de Déu

As in previous congresses, a number of researchers from the Parc Sanitari Sant Joan de Déu will read papers or give presentations.

Dr Julia Rolduà Ros will present a poster on gender differences in the relationship between self-stigma, psychotic symptoms and suicide risk in patients with a first psychotic episode.

With her poster, Dr Regina Vila Badia will analyse the factors associated with suicidal ideation in young people in Catalonia aged 16 to 29.

Dr Susana Ochoa will chair a symposium on the social determinants of mental health in connection with the clinical care of women with psychosis.

Dr Judith Usall i Rodié will give the closing lecture on “Women and psychosis: challenges for future research”. She is also president of the scientific committee of this tenth edition of the congress.

Next congress, Barcelona

The IAWMH congress is held every two years and the next congress, the eleventh, will take place in Barcelona in 2027.
