A comprehensive view that addresses mental health from the perspective of the person, knowledge, spaces and community

Five days to make often invisible realities visible and move towards more human and connected models of care

The Sant Joan de Déu Health Park will celebrate, from October 5 to 9 of 2026, a new edition of the Mental Health Week, with the motto "Looks that transform”, an initiative that is consolidating itself as a reference space for reflecting, sharing knowledge and advancing the current challenges of mental health care.

With the aim of addressing mental health in all its complexity, the week is based on a key idea: can only be understood and cared for from diverse, connected and person-centered perspectives.

Under this comprehensive and transformative approach, the week will be divided into five thematic days that will address mental health from different complementary perspectives:

  • 5 Oct | Women and mental health: invisible wounds, visible voices
  • 6 Oct | Intellectual disability and mental health
  • 7 Oct | From research to clinical practice in mental health
  • 8 Oct | Architecture and mental health
  • 9 Oct | Community mental health

As was done in the2025 edition, the program will combine informative sessions in the morning with experiential activities in the afternoon, with the aim of bringing mental health closer to the community and promoting spaces for participation and awareness.

Five days to transform the way we look at mental health

Among the highlighted contents, key issues will be addressed such as the incorporation of the gender perspective in mental health, new person-centered care models in the field of intellectual disability, the challenges of transferring research to clinical practice, the role of spaces in emotional well-being or the evolution of the community model in mental health. A perspective that highlights that mental health is not only a clinical issue, but also a social, environmental and community issue, and that requires coordinated and humane responses..

With this initiative, the Sant Joan de Déu Health Park reaffirms its commitment to mental health that is more humane, equitable and connected to the reality of people and the community. From making the invisible visible to transforming the way we care: a look that goes from the person to the community, from knowledge to action.

It will be given soon to get to know the program complete. Meanwhile, Save the dates!
