An exhibition reveals the Art Nouveau architectural ensemble at Parc Sanitari Sant Joan de Déu.

The exhibition Gaudí's Invisible Garden reveals the unknown work that the Catalan Art Nouveau genius designed for the former Sant Boi Mental Asylum between 1903 and 1912.  The Art Nouveau garden at Parc Sanitari features grottoes, lakes and benches with mosaic tiling practically identical to parts of other works Antoni Gaudí was building at the same time. These are constructions as significant as the Sagrada Família, Park Güell, La Pedrera and the Colònia Güell.

The Art Nouveau complex also contains architectural elements with formal characteristics and symbolic content – connected with the text of the Book of Revelation – linking it to some of Gaudí's most prominent works.

The exhibition, which can be seen until 1 June 2025 at the National Museum of Science and Technology of Catalonia, is based on the research in the doctoral thesis Gaudí and the gardens of the former Sant Boi de Llobregat Mental Asylum by David Agulló Galilea, Doctor of Architecture, researcher and curator of the exhibition which has been directed by Doctor of Architecture Juan José Lahuerta.

From September, the exhibition will be on display at COAC in Tarragona.
