I Jornada Ferides 360 [Wounds 360 Conference]: experience, knowledge and innovation
The first edition of the conference will take place on 12 March in the Dr. Antoni Pujadas auditorium and at the Campus Docent SJD.
Real practice, research and training from the perspective of primary care, specialised hospital nursing and university training
It is a meeting organised by the Complex Wounds Units of the Parc Sanitari SJD and Primary Care Metrosud and Penedès with the Campus Docent SJD.
Innovative local treatments applicable to real clinical practice, ‘bedside’ research and specialised training in wounds are the key topics of the first edition of the Jornada Ferides 360, which will take place on 12 March in the Dr. Antoni Pujadas auditorium and in the facilities of the Campus Docent SJD. Registration for the conference, which will be activated at the end of January, offers the possibility of also registering for the practical afternoon workshops, which will take place in the Campus facilities.
Co-organised by Parc Sanitari SJD, Campus Docent SJD and the Primary and Community Care Management (GAPiC) Baix Llobregat, this meeting has as its main objective to share with the healthcare community the main novelties and the most relevant cases in the field of complex wound care; to report on advances in research and to show the quality of teaching and the university settings in which the training of future nursing professionals takes place.
The inaugural conference will be given by Dr. Manuel Gerónimo, specialist in Clinical Pharmacology, Anesthesiology and Resuscitation, who will address the topic of analgesic treatment of painful wounds from a heterodox perspective, from the vision of a pharmacologist and anesthesiologist.
Educational workshops at the Campus Docent SJD
The conference will continue with the possibility of attending one of the six workshops located at the Campus Docent SJD, all of them linked to wound treatment: Diagnostic ultrasound in lower limb wounds; Dermo-epidermal micrografts; Therapeutic compression; Sutures; Prevention of Skin Lesions Related to Dependency; and Diagnosis, prevention and treatment of the diabetic foot.
At the end of January, registrations for the conference will open and the detailed programme will also be published.
