Hospital SJD Sant Boi, finalist in the Best Spanish Awards as best maternity and children's hospital
This accolade recognises excellence in hospitals based on efficiency, appropriateness and quality of care indicators among 149 public and private acute care facilities in Spain
Leading professionals in maternal and child healthcare picked up the award this afternoon at a ceremony held at the Casa de Convalescència in Barcelona
This afternoon, Hospital SJD Sant Boi has picked up the finalist diploma for the best public hospital in maternal and child processes at the 7th Best Spanish Awards held in Barcelona. This recognition singles out Sant Joan de Déu hospital in Sant Boi as one of the best in Spain in this area. A total of 149 public and private acute care hospitals from all over Spain drawn from 15 regions entered the 7th BSH Awards.
This accolade recognises excellence in hospitals based on efficiency, appropriateness and quality of care indicators. In the selection process, the jury looked at the procedures performed and complications at the various facilities and compared them.
The diploma was accepted on behalf of Hospital SJD Sant Boi at the ceremony held at the Casa de Convalescència by Patrícia Gallardo, head of the Paediatrics Department; Johanna Parra, head of the Gynaecology and Obstetrics Department, and Clara García, coordinator of maternal and child processes and head of Nursing Management. They were accompanied at the event by members of Parc Sanitari SJD's management team.
7th BSH Awards
The Best Spanish Hospitals Awards acknowledge the three hospitals with the best results in each hospital group and in each of the main clinical areas: medical area, surgical area and maternal and child area. A total of eighteen Benchmark BSH awards and 36 diplomas are presented to finalists. This initiative acknowledges the efforts of participating healthcare facilities based on key indicators of the processes most used in acute care hospitals.
