The conference PlaTEA: where perspectives add up, organised by Parc Sanitari Sant Joan de Déu, is part of the European project PlaTEA: improving care for adults with autism, led by Parc Sanitari SJD for the last three years, with the support of the Sant Joan de Déu Research Foundation and the AustisMind organisation. The conference will take place on Friday 12 December.
The PlaTEA project, financed with European Next Generation funds, is a collaborative initiative intended to improve the comprehensive care and social inclusion of adults with ASD, through a model based on inter-sector coordination, co-creation and the active participation of users.
PlaTEA: where perspectives add up aims to build on good practice, disseminate results, and encourage mental health, social services and community organisations in the care of adults with ASD to continue working together.
The conference highlights learning shared between people with ASD, professionals and organisations, and aims to strengthen institutional commitment to closer, more comprehensive care that takes diversity into account. The conference also presents innovative social projects such as the ASD Social Passport, and the results of qualitative research supporting the needs detected.
The programme contributes to the strategy for transforming mental health care and aligning it with the objectives of the Mental Health and Addictions Master Plan, and with European recommendations on a comprehensive approach to autism in adulthood.
The conference will be held in the Dr Antoni Pujadas Auditorium at Parc Sanitari Sant Joan de Déu (Sant Boi de Llobregat) and you can see the programme and register via this link.
