The Pinnae Foundation grants the SJD Health Park for an international project in Garraf
The organization has awarded a grant of 50,000 euros to incorporate an innovative and personalized metacognitive intervention for people with psychosis in this territory.
Garraf is currently one of the least represented areas in mental health research in Catalonia.
The mental health services of Garraf join the international project PERMEPSY (Personalized Metacognitive Interventions for Psychosis). This project is led by the Sant Joan de Déu Health Park, thanks to the grant (50,000 euros) granted by the Pinnae Foundation. This initiative strengthens the territory's participation in mental health research and brings users with psychosis closer to an innovative intervention aimed at improving the recovery and quality of life of these people.
A clinical trial to advance towards more personalized treatments
PERMEPSY aims to evaluate the effectiveness of a personalized metacognitive intervention for people with psychotic disorders. This therapeutic approach works on people's ability to understand and reflect on their own thoughts, emotions and experiences, key aspects to promote their recovery and well-being.
More territorial equity
The grant awarded by the Pinnae Foundation will allow the number of project participants to be expanded to 30 and ensure that the population of Garraf can be part of this pioneering research. In this way, we contribute to reducing historical territorial inequalities in access to research and innovation studies in mental health. In addition, professionals will receive specific training in Metacognitive Training to incorporate this intervention into regular clinical practice.
The Pinnae Foundation thus reaffirms its commitment to promoting health and research in the territory. This is a project that has a direct impact on people's lives and the quality of healthcare services.
