We have now met the new class of future professionals who will be trained in the specialities offered by our institution

A total of 25 residents join Parc Sanitari to begin their specialisation stage over the next few years

Today is a very special day for the 25 new MIR, IIR and PIR residents who are joining Parc Sanitari Sant Joan de Déu. They are starting a new stage with great enthusiasm and eager to learn as much as they can from our professionals.

This year, 25 residents have chosen the institution's training plan, split into 9 specialities:

  • MIR Psychiatry: 5
  • MIR Child and Adolescent Psychiatry: 4
  • MIR Internal Medicine: 1
  • MIR Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology: 1
  • MIR Gynaecology and Obstetrics: 1
  • MIR Geriatrics: 1
  • PIR Clinical Psychology: 5
  • IIR Mental Health Nursing: 6
  • IIR Obstetrics and Gynaecological Nursing: 1

Enric Vicens, Head of Studies at Parc Sanitari Sant Joan de Déu: “Over the years we have trained more than 220 professionals, but it is always exciting to see a new class. Now it's their turn to work hard, grasp that learning doesn't mean getting bored and be passionate about what they do. This is the most important thing: you should never lose your passion."

A very special welcome

Today is the first contact, a day to share with colleagues and the team of professionals who are part of the Teaching Unit at Parc Sanitari Sant Joan de Déu and who will mentor and guide them during these years of specialisation.

They have also had the chance to explore the gardens and the most distinctive spots on the site in an escape room carefully prepared for the occasion.

Thank you for choosing us and welcome!
