Registrations are now open for the 1st Wounds 360 Conference, a comprehensive look at chronic wounds

It is a meeting organised by the Complex Wounds Units of the Parc Sanitari SJD and Primary Care Metrosud and Penedès with the Campus Docent SJD.

The conference aims to establish itself as a new reference space and meeting point for all professionals dedicated to addressing complex wounds.

Registrations for the conference and training workshops will remain open until 6 March.

Innovative local treatments applicable to real clinical practice, bedside research, and specialised training in chronic wounds are the key topics of the first edition of the Wounds 360 Conference. Experience, knowledge, and innovation, taking place on 12 March at the Dr. Antoni Pujadas Auditorium of Parc Sanitari SJD and the facilities of Campus Docent SJD.

Co-organised by Parc Sanitari SJD, Campus Docent SJD, and the Primary and Community Care Management (GAPiC) Baix Llobregat, this event aims to establish itself as a new reference space for professionals specialised in addressing complex wounds, approaching the specialty from the perspectives of primary care, hospital settings, and university training. The main objective is to share with the healthcare community the latest trends and most relevant cases in the field of complex wound treatment; analyse the current state of research and highlight future challenges in university and postgraduate training for future nursing professionals.

The inaugural lecture will be given by Dr. Manuel Gerónimo, a specialist in Clinical Pharmacology, Anesthesiology, and Resuscitation, who will address the analgesic treatment of painful wounds from the perspective of a pharmacologist and anesthesiologist.

Six training workshops as a practical complement to the conference

After the lunch break, the conference will continue with the opportunity (upon prior registration) to attend one of the six training workshops held at Campus Docent SJD. The workshops will put into practice key areas of the specialty, such as the prevention of skin lesions related to dependency. therapeutic compression; diagnostic ultrasound in lower limb wounds. dermo-epidermal micrografts. sutures and diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of the diabetic foot.

Registration for the conference is paid and offers the option to choose the lunch package.  Registration for the six afternoon workshops (each with capacity for 25 people) is done individually, separately from the conference registration.
